Enjoyed playing Netball at school? Stopped playing and would love to start again? Looking for a new, fun activity? Since the Back to Netball project started over 60,000 women have taken part in Back to Netball across the country and realised the benefits of getting involved. From losing weight, developing the body’s cardiovascular system and improving muscle tone, taking part in Back to Netball is great for you in so many ways.
Back to Netball sessions are running across England and provide women of all ages with a gentle re-introduction to the sport. Run by passionate and enthusiastic coaches, sessions cover the basics of the game including passing, footwork and shooting. Sessions finish with a friendly game to put the skills you have learnt into practice.
You don’t need any special kit, just clothes that you feel comfortable exercising in and trainers ideally that lace up. Make sure you bring some water and that you’ve had a snack a couple of hours before hand,

Angela from Bestwood was asked how Back to Netball has affected her life? Here's what she said:
"After having a baby 18 months ago I saw the sessions advertised and I decided to give it a go. I really enjoyed playing at school and I'd thought about doing it over the past few years but was worried I wouldn't be good enough. I hadn't really played since school and I was intimidated by the thought of joining a club. After trying Back to Netball I was addicted straight away and have been ever since."
Back to Netball is a 6-10 week programme that involves fun exercises, skill development and mostly match play. The sessions are a great way to get back involved in a relaxed, fun environment. The sessions are a great stepping stone for joining existing clubs, or forming your own club.
